Upcoming Kettlebell free introductory class on Saturday, November19th at 2PM at the Rising Sun School with Chris Coulthard

The Russian Kettlebell is a low-tech cannonball with a handle. Historically used by "The People" and by Strongmen in the 1800's, and more recently by Olympic athletes, and elite military units. Kettlebell exercises are full body movements. The kb has a fluctuating centre of gravity and a lever like handle that generates a lot of inertia when in motion. This inertia must be slowed and absorbed by the body recruiting major muscle groups, motor units, and core stabilizing muscles in the process.

Come learn the many dynamic exercises that will deliver:
" explosive strength "
" power "
" endurance "
" agility "
" a mind blowing cardiovascular workout "

Instructor:
Chris Coulthard is a firefighter in the operations division of the Toronto Fire Services. He is a Technical Ropes Rescue, and Rapid Intervention Team specialist and instructor for TFS. Chris is a Kettlebell instructor, registered by Kettlebell Concepts NYC. He is an avid martial arts enthusiast studying Systema under the tutelage of Vladimir Vasiliev and Emmanuel Manolakakis.

Kettlebells are the perfect workout for those who want functional strength for their chosen endeavors
